Been on this site for a short while now and I have spoken to only one fellow who was the person in the profile. I contacted him to see if he really was and was pleasantly surprised to find he was. We never carried on communicating as we were looking for different things but I really have given up hope of finding any genuine men on dating sites as they are, in my experience mostly Nigerians. I never contact men but those that contact me are scammers. I can pick them out immediately and they get quite upset when you do. Their spelling and command of the English language is a dead give away. Sad but true. I have no idea why they bother as I would'nt part with a 10 cent piece to anyone who thought they were clever enough to sit behind a computer and scam people because they are actually too stupid to hold down a job.

A reason therefore to become cynical and despondent about such sites. Real-life encounters (outside of cyber-space) to meet someone seem to be as scarce as water in an empty glass. All that is left is hope.

To all your people that are so negative , wait , be patient , I was and guess what , I did met this awesome , beautiful lady , yes I also thought this was also a quack score, guess what, its now 2 months sins we met and thins getting better by the day , I also had my doubts and here I am , a very lucky happy man with an awesome girl , she's heaven to me and I couldn't have asked for a more descend lady she is , so stay focus, if its meant to be , it will be

im so dissapoinded in men who are in this site. someone just asked me how much i charge. i dont understand i thought this was a dating site but this! im giving up on online dating i will just sit and wait for the miracle to happen. Shocked

May I offer my experience? People’s expectations of a dating site are often pretty high. Once, I too thought I might meet ‘the one”, if not on the first date, then on the second or third encounter. However, the reality has been that, I have come into contact with all sorts – good and not so good – but this is part of the deal. Don’t let that get you down. Rather place it in the file called ‘experience’.

While a soul mate for me has not yet eventuated on the site, the good news is that I have enjoyed coffees, lunches, dinners and a variety of encounters with different people most of whom have been very nice. Some ‘dates’ have lasted an hour; others have gone on for months… a couple have even lasted a few years. This has taught me that there are many worthwhile “relationships” outside of the Big Ones. It’s no shame to admit that the particular relationship did not work out.

I believe would have been much poorer had I eliminated them at the outset and – no – I do not believe it was a waste of time.
