Okay, so the subject of this forum is simply as the name states... let's meet.
It's really easy, if youre going out for a movie, coffee or even lunch, then post it on here and invite others to join you... Simple and effective.
So, let's get meeting people! |

That is why we are here. To meet.
Most of us are normal people. Are you willing to meet?
Are we so paranoid and insecure that we cannot step out of our shell, and expose ourselves to new people and experiences?
Tell you what, people. You are not going to meet each over the internet, unless there is some kind of interpersonal activity.
Face to face, voice to voice.
Meet for a cup o'coffee at a public place. That's a start. Take it from there.
Until you are brave enough to take this step, meeting face to face, you will be an anonymous person on the internet.

True... Most people do find it hard to step out of their comfort zones... And that's where the issue arises, and why this could be an answer to that issue.
Let's leave the jaded cynacism at the door for a moment.
The idea for this forum is so that people can communcate on a more level playing field... Not to berate them or suffer indignities. And sometimes people advertise as a ferrari when in actual fact, they're a washing machine.
The transision from chatting to someone and meeting face to face can be a heck of a thing to deal with... I once made the trek all the way to Cape Town to meet someone who at the time I thought was worth it... Now I'm not saying it was a good idea (as ideas go, it was pretty stupid...)but, I learnt something... And walked away without leaving any ills or animosities hanging in the air.
It's not easy meeting people face to face... But, it is something that has to be done.
So, in 3 weeks I'm going to be in durban... I'm heading to the pavilion to go and have coffee at one of their fine establishments. I think fego, they're next door to a book store on the cinema level... Have a look at my profile so that you can recognise me.
Anyone up for a meet and greet, then please, feel free to join me. |
