Hi all
Why is it so difficult for people to meet a few basic criteria?

Eg:
single (not separated, married or in a relationship
age between 50 -65
no toy-boys
Live in Cape Town

We know the education standards in SA are appalling but people of my age generally should be able to read a profile without too much trouble and see whether they meet the criteria.
Is this asking too much?

Shocked

Indeed there is, but in this case it is pretty simple to ask one's self whether they fit the criteria. It's certainly not rocket science. Wink

Indeed it is is not rocket science. However one has to appreciate that the "measurement" criteria is different for men and woman. As a pocket guideline for the ladies don't expect rocket science from the guys, they are almost entirely visual. For the ladies one would have to write a book but basically a good reliable provider of STATUS, safety, security, home and children.

A profile does not say much but the basics and even that is not terribly reliable because I have seen woman list "no baggage" when they have a warehouse full of baggage and skeletons. Nobody mentions that. If an criteria is not listed and you want to know the only way is to ask. I have dealt with all kinds of people but the ones that scare me the most are those with a mission, agenda or zealous belief.

So ladies if you want to be like honey to bees it is appearance and body shape first. Use a decent photo that shows your best. Not an out of focus holiday snap of some beach or game park or some artistic creation of who knows what.

There is no better way than a simple hello and a quick chat where the ladies can ask about their deal breakers. What do you do on sundays? How much tv do you watch? How many children and where are they..... Where do you work? What do you do for a living....

So what are deal breakers? For me that is fidelity, honesty, love, sex, companionship, partnership, tenacity but above all when I look at the person I want to be pleased by what I see. That may change with time and become unimportant but as an initial choice it is going to be what makes me contact any woman.

Now if you can find what turns you on in a guy read his profile the same as any interested guy would do for you. If he cannot be bothered he is taking a chance and is probably looking for a one night stand. It's not like they are not out there and there are girls just looking for some new sexual experience.

It's a mine field, welcome to the internet.

HI Peter
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Having been on other dating sites previously I have to say that women do not have exclusivity on lying.
I once went to meet a "gentleman" whose profile stated he was 6'2", had black hair and was 58. He was knee-high to a grasshopper and actually looked more like Tickey the Clown, furthermore his hair was styled like Albert Einstein's and was the same shade of silver............. He was also actually 68 and not 58 as he had stated... Do people like that really think that the person they are meeting would not notice the difference between the so-called profile and reality.
Anyhow. as we know internet dating is not for the faint-hearted or the gullible.

No need to say 100% correct because that is character not gender.

OK so lets say this character walked up to you and said "hi those are fantastic earrings where did you get them?"

1) They have got past your defences and opened a conversation you are hardly not going to reply to... Now this is a pick up procedure any guy can learn and take it a lot further.

What I was trying to demonstrate is that any dating method or meeting requires some detective work to find out what the objective is. Blatant lies like the clown above are immediate extraction from the situation. Each method has it own set of rules and guidelines. They must not be confused.

Well pure and simple the PMB ladies have better things to do than respond to me or find dating sites.

A current search shows one, no pic, no interest in anyone who cannot post at least a pic. I was not expecting fireworks and there are other options you will have to pay for.
