Maybe each and every one of us should be asking the question "Why have I posted a profile on this site?' If it is purely the thought, but not coupled with action, why are we wasting our time? If we need our egos to be stroked by seeing how many members view our profile, wink at us or put us on their hot list, with no obvious intentions on our part, then surely we suffer from some sort of insecurity or some inexplicable inertia that keeps us rooted to the spot. The cynics will say that we, both men and women, are all just deceitful and that none of us has any honourable intentions at all.... that all the good ones are already taken or still happily married.
I refuse to believe all the above balderdash. Maybe we are not meant to be TOGETHER, I grant you that, but I know also that we are not meant to be alone.
So, for my part, I invite any lady who cares to give of her valuable time, just to send me that first email or have that first cup of coffee or glass of wine, and maybe, just maybe, your efforts and your 'panning' will unearth that diamond, caked in mud, that that will enrich your life thereafter....as a friend, as an activity partner, as a travelling companion, who knows.
But why not take the chance....I choose to be a participator, not an observer or a cynic, even though I may fall and chafe my knees.
As has been said before, we EXIST through all the minutes of our lives, but we LIVE through those special moments in our lives. So take a chance, dip your toes in the uncertain waters, what do you really have to lose?

Being alone is not nice but I think you can't just be with some one for the sake of saying I have some one,you have to find that person that compliments you ,your other half so to speak some one who makes you laugh more then makes you cry,some one who makes you smile when you think of him,like when you sitting in a coffee shop waiting for him and you think of what he said or did and you snmile all by your self.I want to share my life with some one but as I said I want more smiles then tears. In todays world its all about what car do you drive what's your bank balance people don't look at the person any more and yet all we want is good old fashioned love .I tell you am so scared to date because am not a one night stand person or a fling person and when you try the dating sites you start chatting nicley and just in a few days the money issue comes up sad hey but I hope I will find that honest person some day. l
