Yip, the silly season is upon us, once again.

Deck the malls with boughs of holly, play Boney M at full volume, spend heaps of cash on trash. It seems cathartic to me.

Being an orphan myself, I will spend the day with friends, enjoy lunch, and go home afterwards.

For me, this time of year is a tipping point. I confront the successes and difficulties of the year and look forward, to new beginnings and opportunities. It is a time of reflection, time for a new direction.

Spend your money and time wisely. January is around the corner.
