| Farewell Madiba December 12, 2013
We all knew this day would come, Madiba lived a great life which should be celebrated. Personally I was surprised by the amount of emotion in the South Africans, myself included. I can just offer my thanks for having been alive and living in South Africa to share in part of the life of what must be the greatest man in our time, and one of the greatest of all times.
Mandela once quoted on death in a documentory about himself: "Death is something inevitable. When a man has done what he considers to be his duty to his people and his country, he can rest in peace. I believe I have made that effort and that is, therefore, why I will sleep for eternity."
To say you've done your duty would be a great understatement. Rest in Peace Madiba, you will be missed.
