For some time now it has always been the men's job to make the date. They are the ones to make the first approach in a bar, or to ask for a lady's number, but surely this is a relic of the past?
Research has shown that on average, men don't only send the first message, but they send more messages too. On average, a man on a dating site sends 9 to 15 messages after joining, while women send 3 to 4.
Clearly there is an opportunity here for women who aren't nervous about making that approach. Surely they'll be the ones getting more attention and hopefully getting the man of their dreams.
